“Racing Dreams” is an exclusive documentary, describing to the audience three racers on their way to elite sport. Three talented kids around 11-13 years old take part in the national karting championship. The would-be superstars Brandon, Joshua and Annabeth show their best results in racing, competing for the opportunity to join the NASCAR in the coming future.
This film, perfectly directed by the Academy Award nominee Marshall Curry, is not only the touching story of high speeds up to 70 mph and the dreams of young drivers to become professional sportsmen, but also a story of growing up – the  so-called racing from childhood to adulthood. Well provided by good sense of humor and curious moments from the lives of three young racers, some situations of the documentary remind us someway the well-known novel by Salinger “The Catcher in the Rye”. The film touches emotionally on the family relations of the young heroes, the problems they face and the decisions they take to withstand the difficulties of a sport life.
Being a really outstanding documentary, "Racing Dreams" has already won several awards as The Best Documentary and two Audience Awards on various American Film Festivals.
