Travelling to Cambodia in 2000, filmmaker Anne Bass discovers there a charming and talented boy called Sokvannara Sar. Being only sixteen years old, he creates a profound impression on Anne by his natural grace dancing.

She decides to give a young talent a chance to move from his native country to the United States of America, where he could start to take Ballet lessons. Anne couldn’t ever imagine that she would open a new ballet star to the world. Although it seems to be difficult for the Cambodian guy to find a common language with the Ballet society he got into. But he tries to do his best. Sy, as he is called now, begins to attend lessons at School of the American Ballet, which is known to be the most prestigious in New York. His appearance on a Ballet stage causes a kind of revolution as in himself so in the art form of Ballet. Sy’s dream to become a great dancer comes true.

“Dancing Across Borders” is a great story, telling the viewer about the nuances of adaptation in a foreign country, professional growth and giving a detailed look into the Ballet backstage. The film shows, that not only talent but also hardworking are the necessary parts of success, whatever you do.

"Athlete" is a sport documentary, released 2010, March 9th. The film has been directed by David Lam, a prominent New York’s photographer and graphic designer. This documentary was his first debut as a film director. The idea of filming "Athlete" appeared in Lam’s mind not by accident. Having completed 3 marathons (in Chicago, New York and London) himself, he had a notion on this kind of sport at first hand.

The documentary acquaints the viewer with lives of its heroes: Jenny, Artie and twin-sisters Carrie and Kellie, making a certain accent on the reason why they came into this sport and what this sport means for each of them.

In 2001 Jenny was diagnosed with Hodjkin’s lymphoma, stage II. After the successful treatment she decided to join the group of triathlon and marathon athletes. Since that time she has been regularly taking part in this kind of sport.

Artie has lost most of his vision because of the genetic disease called retinitis pigmentosa. Despite of his eyes condition, he takes an active part in various endurance events.

Twins Carrie and Kellie started competing in marathons and triathlons long ago. The documentary describes their training for the coming triathlon competition, where they are going to take part together, in detail.

Workers of factories have opposed that the television quiz show was on air too late when they which have got tired, already slept.
The Prime minister of Italy has drawn conclusions from this experiment, and since then the Italian TV has undergone cardinal changes. On screens of TVs began to appear more girls, beautiful and not so. The main thing that on girls and women was every day less clothes. Nudity became a leitmotif of the Italian TV. Silvio has created the whole cult of the semiundressed women on screens. Young girls aspire to get under a television camera sight, the profession showgirl is considered one of the most prestigious for starlets of Italy.
Erik Gandini has removed a documentary film about tendencies of modern Italian TV and about Silvio Berlusconi's contribution in the development of close links between culture and politics of Italy.

“The Art of the Steal” is a historical documentary by Don Argott based on real events, regarding to the priceless art collection, formed by Albert C. Barnes. Barnes, a multimillionaire with a good taste for art, took a great role in assembling one of the greatest private collections ever existing in the world. The masterpieces, he collected, are located in several miles from Philadelphia, where Barnes founded out the educational institution. Half a century after Barnes’s death a group of people makes attempt to remove the paintings to another museum in Philadelphia, for their own mercenary ends.
The provisions of the multimillionaire were nevertheless very strict. Before passing away, he had resolved, that his collection wasn’t to be lent, sold or removed. Lincoln University was assigned to stay the last will of Barnes and the interests of the Foundation.
So the former students of Barnes, standing up for Albert C. Barnes will, insist, that collection is to be left on its original place. Who will win and who will fail – that is the question. The documentary shows, how greed and desire to make a profit out of somebody else's work can rule the world, thus, that culture values become nothing but the way to earn money.

“Prodigal Sons” is a personal documentary, produced by Kimberly Reed. Being a transsexual, she returns home to join her high school classmates in Montana. At the same time she hopes to establish good relations with her adopted brother Marc, who estranged himself from his sister long ago.
The film travels all over the world for about a year and causes many astonishing disclosures and        unpredictable turns of the plot, keeping the viewer in constant suspence. The family of Kimberly has to encounter the number of difficulties, not every family could overcome. That’s an increased tension between brothers and sisters for one, a blood relationship with Rita and Orson for second and many others. Still the documentary has played a great role in holding together many of the participants in the movie, including Kimberly’s mother, Orson’s soulmate Oja, puzzled highschool mates, local farmers and Montana prison chaplains.
The theatrical release of “Prodigal Sons” won a lot of special prizes on the Documentary Film Festivals as the most bravery documentary and outstanding filmmaking.  It was awarded as the Best Documentary at New York's Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and Copenhagen's LGBT Film Festival.

Besides different aspects of life the documentary touches the question of the emotional drama, connected with irretrievable loss of those we love and unavoidable changes in family life it causes. Taken on the suburbs background, many of the movie shots are full of particular charm, fun and romance. Someway the documentary “Phyllis and Harold” reminds the images and remarkable atmosphere from a world-known “Scenes from a Marriage” and “I Love Lucy” filmed by Ingmar Bergman.

October country is an outstanding documentary, based on the life of the family, struggling for staying together in spite of all the troubles and cruel circumstances fell to them. Don Mosher is a Vietnam veteran, who is still emotionally affected by his war past. He lives on his own account, as he is highly criticized by relatives, who seem can’t stand and can’t understand him. Dottie, Don’s wife, tries to bring something positive into the situation, but her attempts often end by nothing or even double troubles. Their daughter Donna was enough careless to become a teenage mother and a wife of a man, who treats her rather abusive. Daneal, Donna’s daughter, inherited her mother’s recklessness and finally found she alone with a child on her hands, abandoned by the father. Desi is the youngest daughter of Donna, who seems to be quite a bright girl, very well versed with visual environment in her early years. Denise, Don’s sister, who lives separately, turned away from Don and the family and joined the group of Wiccans, practicing their obsessive rituals in the neighboring cemetery. The documentary was taken by Don Mosher himself and with his family cooperation. 2009 October Country won the grand prize on the Silverdocs Film Festival.

In film Blood Into Wine it is told about the soloist of rock group Tool Maynard James Keenan who has given in to whim and has decided to be engaged winemaking business in Arizona.
Having arrived to a vineyard Keenan tries to proceed all way from cultivation of a grapevine to transformation of grapes into wine. As it has appeared, it is hard. Conditions have appeared far from ideal, even weather was enough cold. Having understood that he in this business still the beginner, Keenan has addressed for council and the help with the true veteran of winemaking Eric Glomski which undertook to train and edify Keenan in this labour-consuming business
Blood Into Wine is not the advertising action directed on attraction of a stream of tourists to the State of Arizona or on increase of sales volumes fault. This film simply shows aspiration Maynard James Keenan to draw a parallel between creation of wine and music creation, and also slightly opens a veil in the world of true skill winemaking.
