The name of the stadium in question is connected both with sports and great music performances. The Beatles first appeared on stage at Shea; it was the year 1965. The stadium became the place of numerous concerts of the pop icon Billy Joel. It was also the place of baseball games and a home of legendary baseball team known as the New York Mets.
Intersecting many of the significant events, which took place on Shea Stadium, the documentary directed by Paul Crowder creates the historical portrait of one of the greatest landmarks of New York City.
The last show, played at Shea, was performed by Bill Joel, who gave an exclusive concert, gathered 110,000 fans. 2009 the stadium was demolished and replaced later by CitiField.
The documentary offers interviews with music and sport celebrities, whose lives and careers were connected with Shea Stadium. The film is provided by excellent footage and features such guests as Garth Brooks, Tony Bennett, Roger Daltrey, John Mayer and the others.
