“Best Worst Movie” directed by Michael Paul Stephenson is a documentary, describing the history of the film “Troll 2”, released in 1989. Rated as the worst movie ever existed on the big screen, “Troll 2” has occasionally found its audience 20 years later.
The director of “Troll 2” was an Italian filmmaker Claudio Fragrasso. Having visited a dentist Dr. George Hardy from a small town in Alabama, he decided to shot a horror film. Being very low budget and starring non-popular and practically unknown Utah artists, whose abilities to play was under question, the film created by Claudio Fragrasso was considered to be the worst.
There was nothing to do for the failed actor but returned to his practice as a dentist. Neither he, nor the rest of the cast and the filmmaker himself could ever imagine that the film, which was a great failure once, would become so popular and beloved one day. Dr. George Hardy signing lots of autographs for his fans is a really fantastic picture, just unbelievable! Moreover, the plot of the film became so popular, that was adapted for the Playstation Game, admired by many teenagers till today.
“Best Worst Movie” is a documentary, telling the viewer about the peculiarities of the worst movie and its unexpectedly great success many years later.
