“Skiing Everest” is an incredible adventure, taken by a group of close friends, united by their passion for mountain skiing. Led by twin brothers Mike and Steve Marolt, originated from Aspen, Colorado, the group has skiing from above 8 kilometers of Everest as its object. The brothers have become keen skiers since childhood thanks to their father, Max Marolt, who became Olympic skier in 1960.

The expedition to Everest wasn’t the easy one, proceeding from the fact that the skiers preferred to have neither hiring guides, familiar to the mountain relief, nor supplemental oxygen balloons with them. The group led by Marolt, climbed also without any assistance of Sherpas, whom people often hire to carry their equipment.

“Skiing Everest” is not only a story, describing a new era in skiing, but also a tale of two brothers from Aspen and their childhood. Alongside the full of danger high altitude skiing from the highest mountain in the world, the film touches upon the history of conquering the peaks of Everest. The story of skiing Everest includes the interviews about previous successful attempts, taken in different times by Hans Kammerlander, Laura Bakos and Chris Davenport. The film shows us a really breathtaking adventure to the top of the world.
